July 3 – July 6

I’ll keep this one short. So if you read the blog post before this one, I was just at Huntington Beach. And that trip ended on July 2nd. So yes, I drove back from Huntington late at night, slept, woke up, packed, then headed out for Las Vegas. Crazy? I know. The drive to Vegas took around six hours with only two stops. We were about an hour away from Cait’s house when I noticed these giant, colorful rocks on the side of the road and quickly took the next exit. I soon found out that these rocks were called the “Seven Magic Mountains” created by Ugo Rondione as an art installation. I won’t go into much detail here, but if you’re interested in why this was created and how long it will be there, check out this website: https://www.reviewjournal.com/news/news-columns/jane-ann-morrison/new-seven-magic-mountains-art-offers-different-kind-of-theme-park/

Here are some of the things I did in Vegas without boring you to death (or making you jealous because I know that’s how you really feel!)

  • Swimming (since it’s 115 everyday there)
  • Watched fireworks for the 4th of July
  • Went on a bike ride
  • Peddle Boated
  • Walked around Downtown
  • Went to dinner at Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar
  • And more, but what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas 😉
